My Favourite Hydrating Cleansers for Dry + Dehydrated skin
Today I wanted to share a quick edit of cleansers I am loving for my Dry and dehydrated skin. Winter is slowly coming towards an end where I am, but the heating is still on and the air is brisk, and my skin still feels a bit tight and dehydrated in the mornings.
Dry skin lacks natural oils and moisture, making it prone to tightness, flakiness, and discomfort. This makes the choice of cleanser crucial, as it sets the foundation for the rest of your skincare routine. Opting for the right cleanser can ensure that your skin stays hydrated and supple throughout the day.
Cream/oil/balm cleansers are particularly well-suited for dry skin types. These rich, emollient formulas effectively remove impurities and makeup without stripping the skin of its natural oils. They leave the skin feeling clean, soft, and hydrated.
Look for oil or balm cleansers formulated with hydrating ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, glycerin, ceramides, and botanical oils. These ingredients not only cleanse the skin but also help replenish moisture and nourish the skin barrier.
Below is an edit of my favourite balm and oil cleansers I have tried to help my skin feel nourished in these winter months and as we transition into spring.
I tend to use a cleanser mainly at night, but I find that if my skin is really dry, layering on the moisture starting with an oil or balm wash in the morning can really help.
