What is Tropic?

Tropic is a beauty brand making skincare, makeup, haircare, and bodycare, and was founded by Susie Ma when she was 15 and wanted to help her mum with debts. So she made body scrubs in her mum’s kitchen,, filled 50 jam jars, and sold them at a stall in Greenwich Market in London. Fast forward to many years later, she appeared on “The Apprentice” a TV Show that enabled her to secure investment funding to grow the brand.

Why I think this brand is great

Tropic is dedicated to being a better beauty brand, making products responsibly, and giving back to the communities and people that are an integral part of all of their processes. The brand invests in its people, and the communities that harvest the ingredients it uses as well as giving back to a variety of charities that cross many different issues from the environment to education and poverty. Tropic also makes its products in the UK, has become Cosmos Certified Organic for its core products, and continues to use and make innovations in packaging to ensure they leave a positive footprint behind - like refillable makeup palettes and skincare bottles.
