Lip Balm Edit: Perfect your pout with these potions

Lip Balm Lowdown

Finally, the edit you have been waiting for! Lip balms to soothe and smooth chapped and dehydrated lips! I have incorporated a variety of textures from sticks to pots so you can choose what suits you best, or have one by your bed and one for on the go. Here is some more info on my favourite conscious beautylip balms.

There are some excellent products from small Indy brands like Sann Beauty (pictured - pr product) who make a solid lip serum that I really find helps hydrate - or for a more intense treatment try the Twelve Beauty lip oil which is my ultimate treatment. This should only be used twice a day to be effective.

Kitaka make the Goonight godess is an overnight treatment for deep hydration and moisturising, but Pro Tip for you MUAs out there, it is also an excellent lip prep for shoots!

For years I have used pure lanolin from Lanisoh (breast feeders know) to heal really cracked lips, but the vegan Sukin Paw Paw is also a great all around balm.

I have the @nealsyardremedies stick in my handbag and always reccomend tinted lip balms by brands like @rmsbeauty + @iliabeauty if you want to try a bright colour but are not ready to commit to lipstick

Top Lip Tips

I do think your lips get ‘addicted’ to the same balm all the time so good to move between 2. Tp smooth and treat very dry and cracked lips, scrub gently with a washcloth, it is more gentle than the rough sugar scrubs. after removing the dead skin, apply a thick layer of a nourishing balm like the goodnight goddess and leave on as a mask to soak into the skin. Use more waxy formulas to protect the skin if you find they are getting very chapped.

As ever, get in touch if you need help choosing, and for more information on each of the products listed below, please see my full guide here.
