Glam Eye makeup Look for Awards Season
It’s BAFTA Weekend and I thought it’s a great time to share a technique I use to make my eye look lifted and a bit more glamorous than usual. I created this as an Instagram Reels - which you can see here with a few more instructions
The key is to draw the outer line very sharply and then blend inwards in a ‘sideways V’ shape. This also allows you to make a wing that is a little less than perfect, because you will be blending it out anyways - its much easier and more forgiving than a sharp wing liner.
Start by drawing the outer line of the wing first, simply extending the line of your lower lid up towards the tip of your eyebrow.
Stare straight into the mirror to draw the top of the line inwards to your upper eyelid. you are aiming for a “wing” that only goes on the outer corner of your eye.
Fill in the gap that you drew and if you would like, line your top line just to the middle of your eye.
Use a light shimmer shadow on the whole lid til the brow
use a small precise flat brush (I love the one that came with this palette to blend the inner line of your wing shame and create a “sideways V” with the darker shadow by going a little into the crease. Only keep this dark shade on the outer corner of the eye, do not come inwards past the middle.
Use a medium eyeshadow to blend above the crease for shape and detpth if you have the room, and then use the same brush to blend all over your eye and a little under your eye for harmony
Curl Lashes and apply mascara!
Voila!
I have paired this eye look with a Caramel Lip colour, but you could pair it with a Classic Red for a super Glam Look, a Warm Fun Red for more ‘Pop’. You can opt for a light nude lip for muted minimal elegance, or a simple lip gloss for quick and easy style on the go. I have linked products similar to what you see in the video but as ever get in touch if you would like some help. Or you can always book an online consultation.
